Mrs. Judie Vasquez is a preschool lead teacher.  She is a born-and-raised New Yorker, and her family comes from Mexico.  Mrs. Vasquez was volunteering at MCA when the Lord called her to work with children full-time.  Mrs. Vasquez loves to watch her students’ wonder and amazement when they learn new things.

Mrs. Vasquez holds a CDA and is currently working toward an Associates degree in Early Childhood Education.  Her daughter, Abby, is a fourth grader at MCA.

Mrs. Eliana Rosa is a preschool teacher’s assistant.  She was born and raised in Paterson, NJ, and her parents come from Colombia.  Mrs. Rosa started as a parent volunteer and then an intern at MCA and joined the team full time in 2018.  She holds a CDA and is working toward her Associates degree in Early Childhood Education.  Mrs. Rosa loves to help children explore and understand their emotional development.  She is joined at MCA by her two children, Samuel (preschool) and Leyla (2nd grade).

Mrs. Ines Garcia is a preschool lead teacher.  She was born in Dominican Republic, grew up in Florida, and moved to NYC in 2014.  Mrs. Garcia substituted as a teacher’s assistant in preschool when God revealed her calling to teach.  Mrs. Garcia holds a CDA and a Bachelors degree in Religious Studies from Texas Christian University.  Her son, CJ, is a preschooler at MCA.

Mrs. Guillermina (Gigi) Rodriguez is a preschool teacher’s assistant.  She was born in Dominican Republic and moved to NYC at a young age.  Mrs. Rodriguez started as a substitute at MCA when God called her to the classroom full-time!  She is inspired by the love she receives from her students every day.  Mrs. Rodriguez is currently pursuing her CDA.  Two of Mrs. Rodriguez’s three children attend MCA: Chasity in 5th grade and Genesis in 8th grade.

Mrs. Melissa Palacios is a Pre-K lead teacher.  She was born and raised in Bronx, NY.  She attended MCA as a student and has worked here since 1997.  Mrs. Palacios loves being part of the MCA family and treasures the freedom to integrate biblical truths into academic concepts.  She holds a CDEA and is working toward her Associates degree in Early Childhood Education.  Mrs. Palacios’ son graduated from MCA, and her daughter, Charisma, currently attends fourth grade at MCA.

Mrs. Elizabeth (Lisa) Rodriguez is a Pre-K teacher’s assistant.  She was born in Puerto Rico and moved to NYC soon after.  She has worked at MCA since 1989, and her daughter, sons, and grandson graduated from MCA.  Mrs. Rodriguez loves to see her students’ faces glow when they learn something new!  She holds a CDEA and is working toward her CDA.  Mrs. Rodriguez’s granddaughter, Charisma, is a fourth grader at MCA.

Mrs. Marie Fuentes is a kindergarten teacher.  She is a born-and-raised New Yorker.  She has worked in education since 2003 and joined the MCA team in 2016.  Mrs. Fuentes loves planning creative and challenging lessons for her students.  She holds a Bachelors degree in English from Lehman College.  One of Mrs. Fuentes’ three daughters, Kyrie, attends preschool at MCA.

Mrs. Dawn Crichlow is a kindergarten teacher. She was born and raised in the Caribbean and moved to NYC as a teenager to attend college.  She holds a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education from the University of Phoenix.  Mrs. Crichlow receives immense joy and satisfaction from inspiring a love of learning in young minds.  Mrs. Crichlow’s daughter, Amariis, attends fifth grade at MCA.

Mrs. Sarah Almodovar is the Director of Early Education.  She was born and raised in Pennsylvania and moved to NYC after college.  She holds a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education from Grove City College and a Masters degree in TESOL from Hunter College.  Mrs. Almodovar worked previously as a first grade and kindergarten ESL teacher in the NYC DOE.  She loves bringing big concepts to “kid level,” and is grateful for the opportunity to teach the Gospel to children at MCA.
